My name is Valerie. I am passionate about encouraging you to live the life God created you for! I don’t want ANYONE to feel stuck in hopelessness like I was for much of my life. For years I kept asking “why me…AGAIN?“. I’ll spare you ALL the ugly details, but here is a glimpse of my story. My parents suddenly divorced when I was 10. My mom was consumed with dealing with my sister’s destructive behaviors which left me to figure things out for myself. My answer to loneliness was entering into a relationship at the age of 14 that became verbally and emotionally damaging to me for the next 25 years. In 2012, I divorced after years of utilizing every resource I could find to try to save the marriage. (**I’m not advocating divorce, it creates as many problems as it solves, but sometimes it is the only way to escape abuse.) Those were difficult years to navigate; I could not believe God could have a plan in my chaos. Spending 30 years in some level of depression and confusion means I know what utter hopelessness feels like.

Eventually….. The fog lifted & the scales fell. I surrendered EVERYTHING & God redeemed my story ….slowly. He has shown me that there is purpose in every trial I endured & I’ve been strengthened by it all. When I see hopelessness in others it breaks my heart. I want to encourage you to see that God has a plan in ANY situation. We can’t always control what happens, but we can choose to trust God through chaos which changes everything!

Today, I am a 51 year old Christian, wife, mom, business owner and aspiring writer. I remarried in 2014 to an incredible man. I have 2 biological children & 4 stepsons (that are all young adults) & 1 grandbaby! We have so many challenges with a blended family & previous divorces, but God shines through.

The last few years God has taken the hopelessness I once felt and literally broken the chains off of what I believed was possible in my life. In 2022, we moved aboard a sailboat for 2 years. In 2025, we relocated from Washington state to Texas. None of this has been easy and yet God has strengthened me through every moment of it. From a life of fear and desperation to sailing oceans! Our Lord doesn’t see the limitations we put on ourselves, He sees WHY He created us and ALL that He has for us. Let us not stand in the way! When we surrender it all and trust God is greater than it ALL then ANYTHING is possible. It is time for your limitations to be gone and the possibilities endless. God has such great things for you, enough of letting the enemy and the world keep you in desperation and chaos.
